Fall Fashion 2013.

Hey Girlies!
Delicious autumn is here. I'm so sorry for not being particular about my blogs. I will from now on and I will write and post as much as I can. So usually fall gets a bad wrap for its darker colour and heavier fabrics but this time I'll talk to you guys about what colours to wear instead of what to wear because everyone has a different taste in clothing so you're free to follow your style yet be trendy and updated. Here's a list of colours that you can go for.

Wear : Pink

You can never go wrong with this one. What shade of pink? Pink any. There are no boundations. It is the colour commonly associated with femininity, tenderness, sensitivity. Don't be afraid to look bright and girly.

Wear : Black

Black is always "in" regardless the season. Wear anything black and keep it modern.

Wear : Emerald

Heaven forbid you if you don't wear anything emerald. This is the "it" colour for the season. Wear emerald and pair it up with some subtle and neutral accessories trust me you can wear it anytime, anywhere and with anything. While if you are little more daring, you can layer emerald with a mint green for full colour experience.

Wear : Beige

This is the best colour that fall under the neutral and brown umbrella. It's soothing yet still feminine.

Wear : Red, Maroon

Does anyone remember when red was saved for special events like holiday parties and christmas. Wear any shade of reds and maroons. Do you lean towards the delicate looks of 1950's and early 60's. Then embrace reds and maroons wholeheartedly. Holidays, parties be dammed!! It's time to wear red and maroon.

Wear : Grey

Grey is an intermediate colour between black and white, a neutral achromatic colour, meaning literally a colour "without colour". Don't be afraid to add on. If you think you're wearing too much neutral pair it up with something bright and bold. The best style is always bold, electric and vintage anyway.

Let me know :

what trend are you following this fall?!

Review: Lakme : Red Hot or Satin Ruby?! "The Perfect Red"

Hey Guys!
In this blog I'm going to show you 2 lip products from the same make-up brand and will let you know what I think about them and which one is the better red.
Now Christmas is round the corner and all I can think of when it comes to "the make-up look" is neutral eyes  and the perfect bold Red Lips!
As a make-up connoisseur, aren't you always on the outlook for beauty buys that make life more delicious?! Case in a point - a gorgeous red lips to pout with in the mirror and say "Hello Beautiful". But perfect shade of classic red requires a million shopping trips and zillions trials.
So to solve this dilemma I have picked 2 shades of the same brand from my make-up collection.

1. Lakme` 9 to 5 lip color in Red Hot
2. Lakme` absolute lip color in Satin Ruby

For my lips I just need 2 swipes to go. I honestly can't think of a skin tone that will not be able to work with Red Hot. It stays for 5-6 hours without having any meal and it does not disappear until you remove it with a make-up remover. Texture wise its a good and true matte lip stick and what I like most about this lip color is that its very light and you feel as if you have applied nothing on your lips. Its a true brick red color and is highly pigmented. And If you love matte lipsticks like me then go for this one.

Now when it comes to Satin Ruby it is not suitable for all skin tones. It might make you look a little dark. It is not a true red lip color and according to me and it has a little metallic finish to it with a hint of golden shimmer. Its a little bit on a pinkish side than a true red. Now it is a matte lipstick but it kind of gives a matte metallic finish to your lips which I personally don't like. Although some of you might like it its not a bad shade at all but when it comes to true matte red lip color then I think Red Hot is quite eye catching.

Pros of both the lip color and what company claims :
- Highly Pigmented
- Stays up to 5-6 hours
- Feels very light on your lips
- Wheatgerm Oil rich in Vitamin E
- Single stroke application

Cons according to me :
- Not suitable for chapped lips
- Satin Ruby might not suit your skin tone

Price :

Satin Ruby - Rs.395 for 3.6 g
Red Hot - Rs. 375 for 3.6 g

Ratings :

Satin Ruby - 2.5/5
Red Hot - 4/5

My Take : I will repurchase Red Hot once I'm out of it but Satin Ruby..I'm not sure!
You need to prepare yourself for this attention seeking hue that will either elevate you to the shinier side or leave a scarlet scar!!

Let me know : what's your favorite red lip color?!

Colored Jeans!!

Hey Guys!
I'm so shocked to see the that the colored jeans are such a trendsetter this season.
Its very funky, fun, vibrant and brings a little versatility to your wardrobe.
Its also available everywhere at the moment. They are available in different quality and prices.
All you have to do is just try experimenting a little bit with what you usually wear everyday.
Bring a change in your wardrobe and pop in some colors!

Price : Rs. 1099/-.....  I got mine from the MTV Get Gorgeous store.

Overall opinion : I love these jeans and I have seen them featuring in many blogs, video, reviews and hauls. Like I said, they differ in price and quality but that hardly changes anything for me. You can wear them with monochromatic color scheme which means different tint and shades of one single color. For example if you have a purple jeans you can pair it up with a lavender t-shirt or shirt and nude pumps and likewise. You can wear a sparkly top with them and add glitter to your outfit.
You can always "Pop them up"  and go for some color contrast but always remember not to disturb the color scheme between your colored jeans and the top with some wrong pair of accessories or shoes.
I hope you find this helpful and do give it a try!

Let me know : Have you tried one yet? What's your favorite color and brand and where did you find your pair of colored jeans?

Review : Maybelline Colossal Volume Mascara

Hey Beauties!
I'm back with another product review.
I was introduced to this product for about almost a year ago and I've been loving it since then.
Its called "The Colossal Volum' Express waterproof Mascara" by Maybelline New York.
For me, I need a waterproof mascara in my bag everyday. No matter where I go or what I do or even when I'm not in a mood to wear make-up I always wear about 1-2 coats of mascara on my lashes and a splash of lip gloss for a neutral look. The name itself screams enormous lashes.

This is what it looks like :

On the bottle it is mentioned :
* Waterproof mascara
* Up to 7x more volume
* Instantly - in just one coat
* No clumps
* Wand - patent pending colossal brush

Packaging : Packaging is very plain, homely and very cute. I like how the bottle is of vivid/bright yellow color and it looks quite appealing. Its quite an eye catching material but in a very simple way.

Price : Rs.275/- for 10 ml...and trust me its completely worth it! I never thought that it would be so inexpensive. Judging from the pay off it gives to my lashes it deserves to stand with the high end cosmetic brands mascaras.

Results : Just 1-2 coats of this guy and it appears like you're wearing falsies on your eyelashes.. <3 I simply love my eyelashes whenever I wear this mascara. My ratings would be 10/10 for sure.

Disadvantages : I can't think of any negative points for this guy. For me its just PERFECT!

Advantages : Mascara wand increases the volume 7x with just one stroke. It is a clump free formula that contains collagen to plump up your lashes effortlessly. It makes my eyelashes appear like falsies. I get so many compliments and I will definitely recommend it to everyone. I couldn't believe how much volume and thickness it gave to my lashes from just 1 coat and when I applied second my lashes never clumped they were very much separate from each other. I didn't have any smudging and my lashes appeared so HUGE in person!

Will I repurchase this product?
without any doubt!!

So the bottom line is that Maybelline has done it yet again with their Colossal Volum' Express Mascara. They have created a definite must-have for all the mascara addicts, and I believe that since it is better than any other mascara, it will definitely be the next cult favorite!!

Let me know : What do you guys think about this Mascara? What's you favorite mascara? Have you guys tried it yet?

Review : The Body Shop : Banana Shampoo and Conditioner

 Hey Everyone!
A few months back after my birthday I went to the body shop and came across this amazing product "The Banana Shampoo". Now I know a lot of people wouldn't want their hairs to smell like banana I mean I'm one of those who smells the product first and then purchases it. Its like I judge the book by its cover..lol.. I thought that it wouldn't live up to my expectations but trust me the shampoo and conditioner are absolutely spectacular.

Packaging : the packaging is very simple and very non-glamorous. Its made with 100% post-consumer recycled plastic and you get 250 ml of product.

Price : Rs. 515/- ...it can be a little bit pricey from all the hair products out there in the market but trust me the amount which you get is worth the price.

Fragrance : It smells like a banana medicine...lol :P If that makes any sense. Personally I don't like the smell at all. It is kind of like a drawback to this product. I really had some second thoughts while I was purchasing this guy just because of its fragrance. The good thing is that the fragrance is not too strong to leave your hairs smell like a banana..so relax!!

Hair Type : suitable for all hair types.

Results : Super shiny, silky, clean and smooth hair right away from the first wash.

Disadvantages : like I said first is fragrance and secondly, I think that the conditioner should be of a little more thicker consistency.

Advantages :
After I use it, my hairs feel super silky and smooth and my roots have no oiliness.
This shampoo is very clarifying and is the best food for your hairs and scalp.
Plus, banana is really good if you have a dry, oily or sensitive scalp and winters are round the corner so I think it would be a great hair treatment for your hairs as it will calm all the dry, oily or sensitive areas of your scalp. It feels like you're giving a therapeutic treatment to yourself.

Will I repurchase this product?
Yes absolutely!! :D

So that is my little review on The Body Shop's Banana Shampoo. Let me know : if you guys like this product or not. Have you guys tried it yet?! And what's your favorite shampoo and conditioner?
